Clouds of Glory is a hybrid tea rose introduced in the United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. in 2014. This elegant hybrid tea rose has white with a slight flush of pink at the center bringing to mind a fluffy summer cloud being painted with the first color of the setting sun. The 4- to 5-inch flowers have a lovely open shape, each bright petal displaying itself proudly against the backdrop of dark green foliage. And ‘Clouds of Glory’ is as deliciously scented as it is beautiful, perfuming the garden or your home with a strong Old Rose fragrance that you’ll notice long before you reach the shrub. The flowers start arriving in early summer and don’t stop until late fall. Its continuous bloom throughout the season is sure to make growing this elegant rose very worthwhile.
Plant ‘Clouds of Glory’ in medium-moisture, slightly acidic, well-drained, loamy soil in a garden spot that receives full sun. Water it deeply and regularly, in the morning whenever it’s possible, avoiding overhead watering if you can. Make sure it has good air circulation, and provide a layer of mulch during the summer months to help the soil retain moisture. It can grow up to a height of 4 inches (up to 120 cm) with a width of 4 inches (up to 120 cm) and is USDA zone 5a through 10b. It can be used for beds and borders, container rose or garden and prefers full sun.
