The most popular new variety of the last 30 years, the Double Delight rose bears creamy white flowers with rice, cherry-red edges that deepen in color as the flower ages. On top of that, the scent is strong and pleasing. A vase full of these roses will fill a room with the sweet scent of fresh cut flowers.
Double Delight was introduced by hybrid tea rose cultivar Swim & Ellis in 1977. Only 8 years later, it was places in the Rose Hall of Fame.
The prolific bush provides lots of creamy pointed buds that blush red with the rays of the sun and nicely contrast the deep green leaves. The large old-fashioned flowers can have 24-30 petals on each flower. It can grow up to 5 feet wide and 5 feet tall.
This rose does best with warms days and cool nights and prefers full sun or partial shade.
